The CTR Workshop on Translational Research and Technology Innovations for PFAS Decontaminations hosted by the NJIT Center for Translational Research (CTR) and sponsored by the NSF ART (Accelerating Research Translation) Program at NJIT and National Academy of Inventor (NAI) – NJIT Chapter, will focus on advancing translational research and innovative technologies to address PFAS contamination in water, soil, air, infrastructure, and consumer products. Bringing together leaders from academia, industry, government, and community organizations, the CTR workshop program features keynote presentations, expert panel discussions, and an interactive showcase highlighting cutting-edge solutions for PFAS detection, monitoring, treatment, and remediation. Participants will gain insights into current challenges, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and strategies for accelerating technology commercialization and real-world implementation. As part of NJIT’s NSF ART initiative, the workshop is aligned with the development of the New Jersey PFAS Partnership Innovation Consortium (NJ PFAS-PIC), fostering collaboration across industry, university, government, utility and community sectors to drive impactful, sustainable solutions to PFAS-related water, soil, environmental and public health issues.
