PFAS Without Borders: Global Solutions for a Global Challenge

Honored to speak at a very exciting meeting, "Norway Means Business: PFAS Challenges Facing Communities Across the Globe" organized by The Royal Norwegian Embassy and The Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce at the Norwegian Embassy in Washington DC on June 11. The program featured expert panels exploring state and local perspectives, technical and business solutions, and federal and global policy approaches. It was filled with wonderful presentations and visionary discussions with a group of government, industry and business leaders across the nation.

Many thanks to organizers and hosts for the opportunity - Cynthia A. Phillips, PhD, Idar Voldnes, John Parker, Demetrio J Cuzzocrea and Nicholas J. Thomas. It was so great meeting many visionaries - Tennessee Senator Heidi Campbell, Dennis Calvert, Tonya Chandler, Mark Dodd, Devesh Mittal, Jeff Denholm and Sally Gutierrez and others.

Great to learn about many strategic initiatives and innovative technologies in translation to address fast growing critical global challenges of PFAS and related forever chemicals in a systemic cycle all around us including industrial manufacturing, packaging, waste and consumable products contaminating drinking water, environment, soil and food harming our health with increasing risks to metabolic diseases, cancers, infections and other complications.

Greatly appreciate such multi-stakeholder meetings with global representation on PFAS awareness, advocacy, technology innovations and policy and regulations to address forever chemicals related deep rooted threat to our society.
